Too Comfortable 太舒服了

For the past 2 years, due to Covid restrictions, we are unable to carry out our usual church, community, missions & outreach activities. Most often, we only need to attend online worship and cell groups in the comfort of our own homes.
When we allow ourselves to be comfortable in our faith, more often than not, it causes us to become complacent about our Father. When we become complacent, we are happy to stay right where we are, doing the things we’ve always done.
But Jesus didn’t die on the cross for us to be able to have a peaceful and comfortable life. Nowhere in the bible are we promised happiness and no suffering.
After Jesus was resurrected, He appeared to His disciples and us the Great Commission. We are called to GO. Yes, we will experience pain, grief, and loss in this life. And yes, it’s easier to be comfortable and complacent in our faith. But remember. We are Christ’s disciples, called to GO, to be uncomfortable for the kingdom.
This year, we will start to resume some of the community & outreach activities. I want to encourage you fellow brothers and sisters to actively participate in these activities and in your groups or ministries, reach out to the people around you. When we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will have the strength and courage to endure whatever comes our way, no matter how uncomfortable it may become.
Let us pray to our Lord for the renewal of our strength and stretch out our wings so that we remember that we can “fly”.

在过去的两年里，由于冠状病毒的限制，我们的教会、社区、宣教和外展活动与事工都无法正常运作。大多数情况下，我们只需要在舒适的家中参加线上的崇拜和小组。
当我们让自己对信仰感到太舒服时，往往会使我们不把上帝放在我们心中的第一位。当我们变得自满时，我们很高兴留在原地，继续做我们喜欢做的事情。但是耶稣为我们死在十字架上并不是为了让我们能够过平安舒适的生活。圣经中也没有承诺我们会过着幸福和没有痛苦的生活。
耶稣复活后，祂向他的门徒显现了和给我们一个大使命。我们被呼召要去。是的，我们会在今生经历痛苦、悲伤和失落。是的，在我们的信仰中，感到舒适和自满是更容易的。但要记住。我们是基督的门徒，被呼召要去，为国度感到不舒服。
今年，我们将开始恢复一些社区和外展活动。我想鼓励各位弟兄姐妹积极参与这些活动，并在你们的小组或事工中，更多向周围的人接触。当我们定睛仰望耶稣时，我们就会有力量和勇气去忍受我们遇到的一切，无论环境变得多么不舒服。
让我们向我们的主祈求力量更新，张开翅膀，以便我们记得我们可以“飞”。
