Our Covenant 教会盟约

Having been led by the Holy Spirit to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and having been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and, by the profession of our faith, we hereby in the presence of God, angels and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ as follows:

  1. by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this Church in knowledge and holiness; to promote its unity and to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines;

  2. to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor and the spreading of the gospel to all nations;

  3. to maintain family and private devotions, to educate our children in the Christian faith and to seek salvation of our kindred and acquaintances;

  4. to obey the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to love our God with all our heart, mind and strength and to love our neighbours as ourselves, and to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in all our conduct; and

  5. to watch over one another in brotherly love, to remember each other in prayer, to aid one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling, courtesy in speech, to be slow to take offence and always ready for reconciliation and, mindful of the teachings of our Saviour, to secure it without delay;

  6. guard the purity of the Church by adhering to the biblical doctrines set forth in the Statement of Faith and the Word of God;

  7. We moreover pledge that when we remove from this place, we will as soon as possible affiliate with another church where we can continue to carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s word.

我们都同受圣灵的引导，接受了耶稣基督为我们个人的救主，奉父、子、圣灵的名受洗归入基督的教会。如今，我们在全能的上帝、天使、众圣徒面前，借着信心，以郑重、喜乐的心宣告，愿意与在基督里的弟兄姐妹一同立定以下的盟约：

  1. 藉着圣灵的帮助在基督的爱里同行；让教会在知识和圣洁中竭力成长；促进肢体的合一、维系全教会的敬拜、条例、纪律及纯正的教义；

  2. 时时以喜乐的心支持教会的事工和运作所需，救济有需要的人，并将福音广传万国；

  3. 维持健康的家庭及个人灵修生活，在基督信仰的真道上教育我们的孩子，并常常为着亲朋戚友的救恩劳心；

  4. 遵行我们主耶稣基督的命令，尽心、尽性、尽意、尽力爱我们的上帝，并要爱邻舍如同自己；清楚知道我们虽然在世界，但却不属于这世界，谨慎过日子；在处事上正直，在所托付的工作上忠心，在品行上成为世人的典范；

  5. 以爱彼此守望、祷告中彼此纪念、患难和疾病中彼此扶持；以基督的心为心，言语中有恩慈、不轻易发怒、时时赦免人的过犯并谨记、维护我们救主的教导；

  6. 遵守神的话语和教会信仰纲领中的圣经教义，以保守教会在真道上的圣洁；

  7. 我们誓言若离开目前的教会，我们应该尽快进入另一个基督信仰的教会群体，并在那里继续维系此盟约中的精神和圣经中的信念。
