David inquired of the Lord
“And when David inquired of the LORD, he said, “You shall not go up; go around to their rear, and come against them opposite the balsam trees. And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then rouse yourself, for then the LORD has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.” And David did as the LORD commanded him, and struck down the Philistines from Geba to Gezer.”
David inquired of the LORD, obeyed the clear instructions and they struck down the army of the Philistines to gain victory.
Siew Lee inquired of the LORD
Siew Lee inquired of the Lord regarding cutting the cable that ran from Istana Park into Istana ground. The Lord specifically instructed me in my half-awake stage to call the unwilling contractor who rejected me before; to carry out the work. I was hesitant but obediently and dutifully did as the Lord told me to do. To my surprise, the unwilling contractor was in a happy mood and immediately we took action. I followed him into the big drain along Orchard Road, went down the cat ladder, and had the cable disconnected. PUB subsequently took over maintenance of the drain successfully. Thank God and Praise His marvelous name. I thank Brother Lock as well because, during one of his bible study lessons, the bible verse David inquired of the Lord surfaced so clearly that I believe that God guided me and that was not my dream or illusion.
Let us exalt His name and give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
The LORD will bring His people back to their fold
“Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the LORD”
God spoke in 2008 when I was stricken with cancer. I just jot it down in my notebook and prayed for the Lord to bring them back and be blessed by good shepherds. To date, according to Rev Ng during lunch at the same table in July, many has returned and there are new members added to ECF Holy Word. Praise His almighty name for He never fails in His promises.

大卫求问上帝
“大卫又求问耶和华，耶和华说：“你不要正面出击，要绕到他们后面，从桑林对面攻打他们。当你听见桑树梢上响起脚步声时，就要快速进攻，因为那表示耶和华已在你前头去攻击非利士的军队了。”大卫遵命而行，打败非利士人，由迦巴一直杀到基色。”
大卫求问上帝，并遵从祂的指示，得以打败非士人，取得胜利。
秀莉求问上帝
秀莉求问上帝有关切断从总统府公园地底通往总统府内的电缆。在半梦半醒中，上帝清楚地给我指示，要我联络之前拒绝过我的承包商来执行这项工程。虽然我有些迟疑，但是我仍旧顺从及尽职地照着神的吩咐去做。非常惊讶的是，那位原本不太情愿的承包商心情特别好，答应了并且马上动工。 我随着他进入了乌节路的大排水沟，爬下楼梯，切断了那条电缆。公用事业局 （PUB）之后顺利接管了水沟的维修工作。感谢主及赞美祂那奇妙的名。我也要感谢宇平弟兄，因为在他带领的其中一个查经班里，大卫求问上帝的经文如此清楚地显现在我眼前，让我相信神真的指引了我，那不是梦也不是幻想。
让我们高举祂的圣名，感谢祂的慈爱。
“你要全心信靠耶和华，不可倚靠自己的悟性。凡事都要寻求祂，祂必指引你走正路。”
主要领祂的子民回到故土
“我要把我幸存的子民从我流放他们去的各地召集起来，领他们回到故土，使他们子孙兴旺。我要派首领照顾他们，使他们不再担惊受怕，也不再有一人迷失。这是耶和华说的。”
当我在2008年患上癌症时，主说了这些话。我把它抄写在笔记簿里，向主祈求把他们带回来，领受牧羊人的祝福。如今，七月与黄牧师同桌吃午餐时，知道许多人已经回来了，并且添加了新成员。赞美主的圣名，因为祂的应许从不落空。
