By: Rev Ng Eng Keng

Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. Last week there were 69 online viewing points for the Chinese service and 19 online viewing points for the English service. There were 5 attendees in the physical worship services, including speakers, pastors, and ministry volunteers.

  2. The English service resumes its physical service today. Currently, only those who are below the age of 60 and who have completed their full vaccination (2 doses) will be eligible to attend physical church service. If you are living with the elderly, we encourage you to continue joining the service online. The Chinese service and children's Sunday school will continue to be fully online. Brothers and sisters who intend to attend physical service will have to register their interest with their respective cell leaders.

  3. The church's Combined Mission Sunday will be held on 14th November at 9.30 am and the speaker will be Reverend Ong, who will speak on the topic: Trends and Challenges of the Global Missions. Reverend Ong will also give a special seminar at 11 am via Zoom platform, on the topic: New Normal, New Media Missions. The physical seminar in the church that day will also be reserved for brothers and sisters who attend the English Worship Service (under 60 years old and who have completed two doses of vaccination).

  4. Our church annual Youth Camp is here! This year, Camp Ekballo is on Missions, the third sequel to a 3-year camp series on Discipleship-Community-Missions, the 3 pillars of ECF’s vision. It will be held in decentralized locations from 19th to 22nd December. The camp format is subject to Covid 19-restrictions and any changes will be provided at a later date. More information on the camp can be found in the sign-up form. Sign up now @ bit.ly/ekballo2021. If you have any questions, feel free to approach Grace Gan (91181335) or Tan Jie Qi (81538412). See you there!

  5. The church has scheduled 5 Dec as the church's baptism celebration day. If any brothers or sisters would like to be baptized or transfer of church membership, please check with the pastors.

Prayer Pointers

  1. Pray for the COVID19 pandemic:

    (1) According to the World Health Organization, as of 4 November, more than 7.02 billion people worldwide have been vaccinated. Please pray for the entire vaccination process to go smoothly.

    (2) According to the Ministry of Health, there were 3003 cases on 4th November alone, of which 471 were elderly above 60 years old. As the elderly are in the high-risk group, let us remember them in our prayers. Pray for the Lord's healing for those who are infected and that they will recover quickly.

  2. Pray for congregation prayer concerns:

    (1) Give thanks to the Lord that Reverend Ruth Ho has been in very good spirits this past week. Since getting a portable bio-resonance machine to do the treatment at home, she has not been vomiting when taking high vitamin C. She doesn't even have the feeling of tightness in her chest. She still has pain in her hips, so please continue to pray for the Lord's mercy and the strength she needs each day.

    (2) Let us continue to keep Brother Goh Wee Shin, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Mdm Huang (mother-in-law of Sister Serena Tan) in prayer
