Announcements

Welcome to ECF Holy Word Church! As we gather on this final Sunday of the year, we come with hearts full of gratitude and joy, worshiping our Lord, reflecting on His blessings throughout the year, and looking forward to His guidance in the year ahead. We are a community of disciples journeying together to worship God and serve those around us. Whether this is your first time here or you have been part of this family for years, we warmly invite you to continue this spiritual journey with us. May ECF Holy Word be a place where your faith grows and flourishes!

  1. There will be a combined cell meeting for a background study on the Book of Acts in January. The English session will be held on Friday, 10th January, at 8pm, and the Chinese session will be on Sunday, 12th January, at 11.30am. Both sessions will take place in the church sanctuary at #74. We encourage everyone to join this meaningful time of learning and fellowship.

  2. There will be a pre-study session for the Acts Bible Study specifically for cell leaders. This pre-study will cover sessions 1-3 of the upcoming Bible study. Attendance is compulsory for all cell leaders. The pre-study for Chinese language cells will be held on 5th January 2025 (Sun) at 11.30am (physical session), and the pre-study for English language cells will take place on 15th January 2025 (Wed) at 8pm via Zoom.

  3. Missionary Michelle Ko will visit ECF Holy Word Church on Sunday, 12th January 2025. She will share during the service and lead a Q&A session for those interested in mid- to long-term missions work from 1pm to 3pm (in English). Lunch will be provided. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and be inspired! If interested, please register with Rev Andrew.

  4. We’re celebrating 20 years of serving the community and raising funds to expand our services, including new mental wellness and counselling initiatives. Visit www.nrcs.sg for more details. Stay tuned for more updates!

  5. As the upcoming Wednesday (1/1/25) is the New Year public holiday, the Wednesday Elderly Bible Study will not be held. The new term will start on 8th January, 2025. Please take note!

  6. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sister Lily for her many years of faithful service to our church. Though she officially retired since 2021, she has continued to serve with dedication as part-time from 2022 until now. While she will no longer be working in her official capacity, Sister Lily remains a cherished member of our church family. We encourage everyone to continue engaging with her and to appreciate the wisdom and love she brings to our community. Thank you, Sister Lily, for all you’ve done! May God bless you abundantly in this new season!

    Prayer Requests

  1. As we approach the year’s end, let us reflect with gratitude on God’s amazing works and the grace of giving us His Son as our Savior. His love and faithfulness have guided us through every season, and through Jesus Christ incarnate, He has given us eternal hope. With thankful hearts, let us worship Him and actively share this message of hope with those around us.

  2. May the Lord grant favour for URA to approve our rezoning application, and may this place be given to us as a base to bless the communities.

    Congregation prayer concerns:

Let us continue to keep Sister Lee Fong Mei, Brother Goh Hun Sheng, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Wong Teh Kok and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
