Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Sister Tan Yiow Kheng was called home to be the Lord on last Thursday morning at the age of 93. A Memorial Service will be held tonight at 8pm at 15 Happy Ave East Singapore 369824 and the Encoffining Service will be held tomorrow morning at 10am. Please remember the bereaved family in your prayers!
This coming Thursday evening(8pm) is our church's November combine prayer meeting. It will take place in #74 Service Hall. Please prepare your hearts and come together to pray before God
!Joseph Pastoral Zone (Youth) will be holding a camp on December 20-23 (Wednesday-Saturday). The theme is "Pursuit" and the fees are $75 (working adult/NS) and $55 (students/interns). During the camp, the camp committee is also organizing a Christmas program(Theme:“Christmas Conversations”)for newcomers on December 22 at 1.15pm. It will be held at the Sembawang BB/GB campsite. For more information, please contact Brother Caleb Ong or Sister Grace Lim.
Children Sunday School is organising 3 activities this quarter. A "Post-Exam BBQ" on 5th Nov (Sun) - 4pm to 9pm, our annual "ECF Kids Camp" on 8th Dec (Fri) - 9am to 5pm and lastly "Christmas @ Sunday School" on 24th Dec (Sun) 9.30am to 11.30am. Do RSVP with Sunday School and encourage your family & friends to join in too! They are also looking at recruiting volunteers for the Kids Camp!
This year's Community Christmas Celebration will be held on December 16(Saturday), organized by Potong Pasir Community Club. The venue will be at the Community Club located in Woodleigh Mall. We will also be involved in the presentation of the program. This is a major community event for the church, all brothers and sisters are requested to set aside time to participate!
Elderly Pastoral Zone is organizing a seminar(in Chinese) on "Wills and Estate Planning" on November 16(Thursday) at 9.30am in church. It will cover " Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)”, “Advance Medical Directive (AMD)” and “Advance Care Planning (ACP)”. Please sign up with Sister Giok Lai if you are interested! The Elderly Bible Study will be held at 10am on this coming Wednesday as usual.
Prayer Request
Please continue to pray for the appeal of location swap for religious use. We have not received any response from the relevant authorities till date. Let us continue to pray about this matter and wait in faith!
