Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. Thanks to God's grace in preparing Rev Andrew to return and serve in church since his graduation from bible college in 2015. After praying and communicating with church leaders, Rev Ng's proposal to hand over the baton of Senior Pastor to Rev Andrew to lead the church was unanimously accepted. The handover ceremony will be held on December 31st of this year. Inauguration of the new leaders will be held on the same day.

  2. Children Sunday School is organising 3 activities this quarter. A "Post-Exam BBQ" on 5th Nov (Sun) - 4 pm to 9 pm, our annual "ECF Kids Camp" on 8th Dec (Fri) - 9 am to 5 pm and lastly "Christmas @ Sunday School" on 24th Dec (Sun) 9.30 am to 11.30 am. Do RSVP with Sunday School and encourage your family & friends to join in too! They are also looking at recruiting volunteers for the Kids Camp!

  3. Elderly Pastoral Zone is organizing a seminar(in Chinese) on "Wills and Estate Planning" on November 16(Thursday) at 9.30 am in church. It will cover " Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)”, “Advance Medical Directive (AMD)” and “Advance Care Planning (ACP)”. Please sign up with Sister Giok Lai if you are interested! The Elderly Bible Study will be held at 10 a.m. this coming Wednesday as usual.

  4. The church will be carolling in the Joo Seng community on December 24 at 7.30 p.m. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to participate as a family. For better planning, brothers and sisters are requested to sign up through your cell group. The last day for registration is November 19th.

  5.      The church will have the following gatherings during the Christmas period

    1. 16/12 Community Christmas Celebration (Woodleigh Mall Community Club)

    2. 24/12(9.30am)Combined Christmas Service

    3. 24/12(11.30am)Baptismal Celebration

    4. 24/12(7.30pm)Carolling in Joo Seng Community

Prayer Request

  1. Officials from the Ministry of National Development had responded to the church last Monday and had scheduled a meeting with church leaders last Wednesday to understand the church's request! After a discussion with the officials, it was understood that there is a possibility for us to apply for the re-zoning of #70 to religious use. However, the application must be supported and approved by other relevant government departments (such as the Land Transport Authority, etc.) and our church neighbours! Please continue to keep this in your prayers!
    Congregation prayer concerns:

    1. Sister Tiong Siew Choo was hospitalized last week after a fall at her home. She was discharged from the hospital last Wednesday and is recuperating at home. Please pray for the recovery of her left hand, which was injured in the fall!

    2. Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer!
