Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
This coming Thursday evening(8pm) is our monthly combined prayer meeting. It will be held via both physical (in church) and Zoom (online conference). We will provide the link to each pastoral zones on Wednesday. Please prepare your hearts as we come before God in prayer！
Our church has arranged 4 lessons of Old Testament Overview in Chinese. We will be having lesson 4 this coming Saturday (May 14, 21, 28 and June 4). The speaker is Dr. Cynthia Zhang, and the time is from 10am to 1130am via Zoom. Please be on time if you have signed up!
Our church will be having a half-day church retreat on Friday, June 17. The theme of the retreat is “It is time”. The location is at Imperial Restaurant @ FourPoints Hotel (Havelock) from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. This is the first time since the outbreak that the church has arranged such a combine event. We hope all brothers and sisters can participate as a family. The fee is $15 for adults, $10 for all ages (60 and up), students and children. You can register through your cell group from today onwards. Please pay the fee at #70 registration counter!
Children's ministry has started using Quartz from last Sunday onwards. Children's service will start at 9.30am sharp. Parents are reminded to arrive early before 9.15am to avoid disruption.
We have elderly Bible study on this coming Wednesday at 10a.m. Please be on time!
Prayer Pointers
Our church will start Alpha course in June/July. Please pray for the whole preparation process and for friends whom our brothers and sisters are inviting. Pray that our Lord will lead this Alpha course so that we can all take this opportunity to bless and lead more people to Christ!
Intercession for Congregation :
(1)Brother Goh Wee Shin has returned to heavenly home to be with our Lord at 1am last Monday. The memorial service was held on Tuesday evening and the funeral was held on Wednesday. Please continue to remember the bereaved family in your prayers.
(2)Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Tan Num Kew in prayer.
