Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. For last week’s Chinese service, there were 35 attendees in church (including the speaker and those on duty) and 59 on-line viewing points. And for English service, there were 47 attendees in church (including speaker and those on duty) and 8 on-line viewing points. There were 1 teachers and 3 children in the Sunday School.

  2. The church has scheduled  3 Oct as the Church Combine Family Day. The theme is "Where We Truly Belong". After the worship service, from 11am to 12.30pm, we will have a family day activity through Zoom, an on-line platform. Brothers and sisters who do not have access to the internet can come to the church and participate in the event. We also welcome your family members to join us. You can register for free starting today by going to the church website or filling out the registration form!

  3. The church is scheduled to conduct the re-election of the new General Council and Deacon Council on 10 October. Due to the pandemic, this election will be by Postal Ballot. We will introduce all the candidates to you next week. Please keep this matter in your prayers!

  4. We will continue with the Alpha course this afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. Those who are attending, please be on time.

  5. There will be a Bible study for seniors on coming Wednesday from 10am to 11am in Worship Hall 74. Reverend Ng will be leading the bible study on the “The Teaching of Paul”. Brothers and sisters are welcome to attend.

Prayer Pointers

  1. We thank the Lord for His grace for giving the church the opportunity to participate in the community work over the past 20 years. At present, the main serving group is the elderly. With the completion of the new town of Bidadari, there will be more young couples and young people moving in. The church is therefore planning how to serve these groups, please remember in your prayer.

  2. According to the World Health Organization, as of 31 August, more than 5.29 billion people worldwide have been vaccinated. Please pray for the entire vaccination process to go smoothly.

  3. Please continue to pray for the COVID19 pandemic situation in Singapore. As reported by the Ministry of Health on 2 September, Singapore currently has 65 active clusters of infection. There are 528 cases hospitalized, including 5 people in intensive care units.

  4. Please continue to remember Reverend Ruth Ho in your prayers. She has been doing well the last few days with no dizziness, vomiting or low blood sugar problems. Perhaps her body has adapted to the high vitamins. The doctor also recommended adding a bottle of B17 starting next week. Please pray for her ultrasound and blood test which will be done tomorrow. May the Lord’s healing power be upon Reverend Ruth Ho, that the cancerous tumour can be controlled or shrunk, or even disappear.

  5. Let us continue to keep Brother Goh Wee Shin, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Lim Yoke Hong, Sister Yue Soon Lin and Sister Mary Teo in prayer.
