Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. The General Council meeting will be held this coming Tuesday at 8pm in church, GC members please be on time!

  2. This coming Sunday (November 26, 11.30am), the church will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting(EGM). The two main items on the agenda are the adoption and approval of Year 2024 Budget and the election of the General Council and Deacon Council. Please note that the Sunday Service on that day will be a Combined Service!

  3. This coming Sunday(November 26), the church will hold an election for Term 2024-2025 General Council and Deacon Council. The following is the list of candidates who have been nominated by the Nominating Committee and accepted by the General Council. Candidates for General Council: Sunny Leong See-Lok and Joseph Loh Kum Hoong. Candidates for the Deacon Council: Daniel Xu Yanjun, Ho Kang Hao, Timothy Chen Guobin, Noel Yu Hanwei, Nick Lim Tian Chor, Dorothy Lim Hwee Leng and Cheng Siew Lee. Candidates who receive more than half of the votes of the members present at the Extraordinary General Meeting will be considered as officially elected. Please remember them in your prayers!

  4. Children Sunday School is organising activities this quarter. Firstly, our annual "ECF Kids Camp" on 8th Dec (Fri) - 9am to 5pm and secondly, "Christmas @ Sunday School" on 24th Dec (Sun) 9.30am to 11.30am. Do RSVP with Sunday School and encourage your family & friends to join in too! They are also looking at recruiting volunteers for the Kids Camp! You may reach out to Children Ministry for more info. 

  5. The church will be carolling in Joo Seng community on December 24 at 7.30pm. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to participate as a family. For better planning, brothers and sisters are requested to sign up through your cell group. The last day for registration is November 19th. We will forward the songs to all registrants through the cell group in the next few days!

    4. 24/12(7.30pm)Carolling in Joo Seng Community

       

Prayer Request

  1. The church have several major matters in the near future, brothers and sisters please pray for:

    • The application for re-zoning to religious use. Pray that the whole application process would go smoothly. 

    • The church will be electing a new term of General Council Members and Deacons next week. Pray that through the unity of brothers and sisters, the Lord will choose leaders after His own heart.

    • Rev Andrew Xu will officially take over the baton of Senior Pastor next year. Pray that he will have the wisdom from God to lead the church. Pray for unity among the leaders, brothers and sisters, and Rev Andrew in accomplishing God's mission for the church!

      Congregation prayer concerns:

      1. Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Koh Wee Ching and Sister Tiong Siew Choo in prayer!
