We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
The church will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting(EGM) on November 26 (11.30am). The two main items on the agenda are the adoption and approval of the Year 2024 Budget and the election of the General Council and Deacon Council. Please note that the Sunday Service on that day will be a combined service!
The church will hold an election on November 26 for the election of Year 2024-2025 General Council and Deacon Council. The following is the list of candidates who have been nominated by the Nominating Committee and accepted by the General Council. Candidates for General Council: Sunny Leong See-Lok and Joseph Loh Kum Hoong. Candidates for the Deacon Council: Daniel Xu Yanjun, Ho Kang Hao, Timothy Chen Guobin, Noel Yu Hanwei, Nick Lim Tian Chor, Dorothy Lim Hwee Leng and Cheng Siew Lee. Candidates who receive more than half of the votes of the members present at the Extraordinary General Meeting will be considered as officially elected. Please remember them in your prayers!
Joseph Pastoral Zone (Youth) will be holding a camp on December 20-23 (Wednesday-Saturday). The theme is "Pursuit" and the fees are $75 (working adult/NS) and $55 (students/interns). During the camp, the camp committee is also organizing a Christmas gospel program（Theme: “Christmas Conversations”) for newcomers on December 22 at 1.15pm. It will be held at the Sembawang BB/GB campsite. For more information, please contact Brother Caleb Ong or Sister Grace Lim.
Children’s Sunday School is organising activities this quarter. Firstly, our annual "ECF Kids Camp" on 8th Dec (Fri) - 9am to 5pm and secondly, "Christmas @ Sunday School" on 24th Dec (Sun) 9.30am to 11.30am. Do RSVP with Sunday School and encourage your family & friends to join in too! They are also looking at recruiting volunteers for the Kids Camp! You may reach out to the Children’s Ministry for more info.
Elderly Pastoral Zone is organizing a seminar(in Chinese) on "Wills and Estate Planning" on November 16(Thursday) at 9.30 am in church. It will cover " Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)”, “Advance Medical Directive (AMD)” and “Advance Care Planning (ACP)”. Please sign up with Sister Giok Lai if you are interested! The Elderly Bible Study will be held at 10 a.m. this coming Wednesday as usual.
The church will be carolling in the Joo Seng community on December 24 at 7.30 p.m. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to participate as a family. For better planning, brothers and sisters are requested to sign up through your cell group. The last day for registration is November 19th.

Prayer Request
The church is waiting for the authorities to give us information on the application process and what documents are required for re-zoning to religious use. Please continue to pray for the application process and bestow wisdom to our leaders in the preparation.
