Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Yesterday was the wedding of Sister Sophia, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gan Kian Ngiap, may God bless them. They have arranged a refreshment buffet for everyone after the service today. On behalf of the church, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Gan Kian Ngiap.
The church is organising an Easter community visiting to our friends in Bidadari on the 31st of March at 7pm. We hope to know our Bidadari neighbours better and also introduce our church to them. We will also conduct a training on the 18th of March (Saturday) from 5pm to 6.30pm in church. Please register with your cell group leader to participate. This is our first step into the new Bidadari neighbourhood, so do participate together!
The church pastors have scheduled two special prayer meetings solely for the Canaan Project! The first prayer meeting will be open only to the General Council and Deacon Council on March 4 (9am). The second prayer meeting will be open to brothers and sisters on March 11 (9am). Both prayer meetings will be held physically at the church.
This June 16-19 (Friday-Monday), the church will be holding a church retreat at the Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Brothers and sisters can sign up from next Sunday through your cell group or at the counter after the Sunday service. Please reserve time for the whole family to attend!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Prayer Pointers
It has been one year since the Russo-Ukrainian War (war started on February 24, 2022). This war has caused serious human casualties and financial losses. So far, there is no sign of a ceasefire between the two sides. Please continue to remember in prayer that the war will end soon and the people can return to a stable life!
The Church has started the Lenten season last Wednesday. This season is a time for Christians to enter into self-reflection and introspection. Let's enter into 40 days of reflection, prayer, and fasting together to draw near to God through the booklet, "Daily Devotions for Lent 2023"!
Let us continue to keep, Brother Chan Li Wen, Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Sam Kwai Leng in prayer.
