Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3  missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. Yesterday was the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Yeoh’s eldest daughter, Sister Odelia. They have arranged a buffet for everyone after the today's service. In addition, this coming Saturday (25 Feb) is the wedding of Mr and Mrs Gan Kian Ngiap's eldest daughter, Sister Sophia. They will be hosting a buffet of refreshments after the service on 26 Feb! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Yeoh and Mr and Mrs Gan Kian Ngiap on behalf of the church.

  2. Our church has scheduled a training session on Feb 25 (Saturday) from 10am to 11.30 am via Zoom. The topic is "Bridging Communities - Reaching Out into our Communities for Christ”. The training session will be held in both English and Chinese separately through two Zoom platforms. Brothers and sisters can sign up through your cell group from today onwards!

  3. The Lenten season is starting from the 22nd of Feb to the 6th of April. Our church will enter into these 40 days of prayer and devotion together. We have ordered the Lenten 40 days devotional for this purpose. We have ordered e-copies and hardcopies but encourage all who can to use the e-copies. Brothers and sisters who need hardcopies can get them from the table outside the service hall.

  4. The church is organising an Easter community visiting to our friends in Bidadari on the 31st of March at 7 pm. We hope to know our Bidadari neighbours better and also introduce our church to them. We will also conduct a training on the 18th of March (Saturday) from 5 pm to 6.30 pm in church. Please register with your cell group leader to participate. This is our first step into the new Bidadari neighbourhood, so do participate together!

  5. Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10 am. Please join us!

  6. The church pastors have scheduled two special prayer meetings solely for the Canaan Project! The first prayer meeting will be open only to the General Council and Deacon Council on March 4 (9 am). The second prayer meeting will be open to brothers and sisters on March 11 (9 am). Both prayer meetings will be held physically at the church.

    Prayer Pointers

  1. Please continue to remember in your prayers the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. So far, more than 40,000 people have been killed. According to the World Health Organization, about 26 million people in both countries need humanitarian assistance. We are calling on our brothers and sisters to participate in this fundraising effort. Brothers and sisters can send your donations directly to the relevant humanitarian organizations (Red Cross, UNICEF, etc.) via online transfer. For those brothers and sisters who are unable to transfer the money online, today will be the last day that church Finance will collect the cash donation (no receipts will be issued). The cash donation received by the church last week was $680 and has been transferred to Red Cross.

  2. Brother Tan Keng Khim has recovered from his gallbladder inflammation and was discharged from the hospital last Monday to recuperate at home. Please continue to remember in your prayers!

  3. Let us continue to keep, Brother Chan Li Wen and Sister Sam Kwai Leng in prayer.
