Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. Pastors will call all cell leaders of English and Chinese ministries for a meeting on October 26(Wednesday) at 8 pm via Zoom. We will share with you the year 2023 pastoral zone/cell schedule and scheduled gatherings throughout the year. All cell leaders and pastoral leaders must attend.

  2. There is a combined fellowship between our church and Cornerstone Baptist Church on the 30th of October 2022 for young adults and adults ranging from 17-40 years old! It will be held after English Service from 1 pm to 5 pm, lunch and tea break will be provided. It will be a time of worship, fellowship and fun together, so join us in this fellowship in the kingdom of Christ!

  3. This year December 17-19 (Sat-Mon), our church will be having a retreat for youths and young adults. In line with this year’s church theme—A Treasured Being, “Chosen” will be our retreat theme. This retreat is open to everyone in the Joseph Pastoral Zone. So, let’s take a pause from our busy lives to meditate on our identity and values in Christ. Let’s be recharged and refreshed to serve God!
The retreat location and fees will be released soon. For any enquiries, feel free to approach Mentor Grace Gan (9118 1335) or Camp Commandant Sister Grace Lim (8787 9831). See you there!

  4. The English New Testament overview course arranged by the church will conduct the third lesson on coming Saturday. Please be on time. The Chinese course will be taught by Mrs Lee-Yeung Kam Lan on November 5, 12, 19, and 26 (4 classes). Both courses will be held on Saturdays from 10 am to 11.30 am via Zoom. Brothers and sisters can sign up through your cell group from today onwards.

  5. This coming Wednesday elderly bible study will be held at 10:00 am. Rev Ng will lead the class in continuation of Genesis, so be on time!

    Prayer Pointers

  1. The recent conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been escalating and has caused many casualties and financial losses. Please continue to remember in your prayers and ask for Lord’s intervention so that the conflict between the two countries can ease.

  2. Congregation prayer concerns:
Please remember Sister Ng Moh Yin in your prayers. She has been suffering from knee pain lately which has caused a lot of inconvenience in her daily life. She will be going back to the doctor on October 31 for consultation and be advised of the possible treatment options.

Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Ling Ie Cheng in prayer.
