We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Children's ministry will be held at Quartz from the 22nd of May onwards. The children’s service will start at 9.30 am sharp. Parents are reminded to arrive early before 9.15 am to avoid disruption.
May’s leadership training is scheduled as follows: Rev Ng’s class on 27 May, Ps Andrew's class on 27 May, and Sister Kathleen's class on 23 May. Training will be conducted via Zoom. Please take note!
Our church will be having a half-day church retreat on Friday, June 17. The theme of the retreat is “It is time”. The location is at Imperial Restaurant @ Four Points Hotel (Havelock) from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. This is the first time since the outbreak that the church has arranged such a combined event. We hope all brothers and sisters can participate as a family. The fee is $15 for adults, $10 for all ages (60 and up), students, and children. You can register through your cell group from today onwards!
Our Church's Youth Ministry Joseph Pastoral zone will be holding the following activities in May and June. Interested participants may approach Mentor Grace Gan or Mentor Ben Quek for more information.
(1) Youth Ministry Prayer Meeting: May 16 (Monday) from 9.30 am-12.30 pm
(2) Game Activity: May 29th (Sunday) from 2pm-4pm
(3) Youth Alpha Camp: June 20-22 (Mon.-Wed)
Our church has arranged 4 lessons of Old Testament Overview in Chinese. Lesson 1 started yesterday and we will proceed with lesson 2 and onwards from coming Saturday (May 14, 21, 28, and June 4). The speaker is Dr. Cynthia Zhang, and the time is from 10 am to 1130am via Zoom. Please be on time if you have signed up!
Prayer Pointers
Our church will be moving more gatherings and activities to the new rented location. Children's Sunday School will also be officially moved to the new location starting next Sunday. The leaders are currently doing some simple makeovers. Please pray for the smoothness of the entire makeover and transition and the adaption of our brothers and sisters!
Intercession for Congregation :
(1) Sister Tiong Hong Kiaw was admitted to the hospital for observation and treatment last Tuesday because of dizziness and her blood pressure rise above 200. She was discharged from the hospital last Friday. Please remember her in your prayers!
(2) Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Goh Wee Shin, Sister Sam Kwai Leng, and Sister Tan Num Kew in prayer.
