We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
The 4 Old Testament overview Chinese lessons which our church had scheduled have been postponed to start on coming Saturday because Dr. Cynthia Zhang had to attend the graduation ceremony of Singapore Bible College yesterday. The dates of lessons are May 14, 21, 28 and June 4, and will be held from 10am to 11.30am via Zoom. For brothers and sisters who have registered, please take note!
Our church will be having a half-day church retreat on Friday, June 17. The theme of the retreat is “It is time”. The location is at Imperial Restaurant @ FourPoints Hotel (Havelock) from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. This is the first time since the outbreak that the church has arranged such a combine event. We hope all brothers and sisters can participate as a family. The fee is $15 for adults, $10 for all ages (60 and up), students and children. You can register through your cell group from today onwards!
Our church's Wednesday elderly bible study group has arranged to go on a DUCKtour on Monday (May 9) from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For those who have already registered, please meet at the pre-assigned location (Blk 8 or Blk 4A) at 10.45am.
Please note that the coming Wednesday elderly bible study will break for 1 week due to the DUCKTours on Monday!
Prayer Pointers
For the future development of the church, we will allow young people who have the burden and willingness to commit to the church to use their school vacations to have a few months of internship with our church. Pray that our Lord will prepare brothers and sisters who are willing to learn humbly.
Intercession for Congregation :
(1)Please remember Brother Goh Wee Shin in your prayers. He is still recuperating at Assisi Hospice. Other than some loss of weight and the need to rest in bed, he is in good spirits.
(2)Let us continue to keep, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Goh Wee Shin, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Tan Num Kew in prayer.
