Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
This coming Sunday is the first day of the Lunar New Year. In order for brothers and sisters to organize their schedule better for that day, we will start the Combined Service earlier that day at 9am. Let's come to the Lord and worship Him before visiting our friends and relatives.
Our church has arranged to visit our community neighbours to send our CNY greetings and blessing on 29 Jan after the Combined Service. Brothers and sisters, please arrange your time to participate together!
The following are the main gatherings and activities of our church for the first half of this year
(1) 22/1 Lunar New Year's Day Combined Service (9am)
(2) 29/1 Community Orange Distribution (11.30am)
(3) 6/4 Good Friday Service (8pm)
(4) 9/4 Easter Baptism Service (9.30am)
(5) Saturdays in May 10am - Christian Education classes
(6) 16/6 - 19/6 Church Retreat(Grand Paragon Hotel JB)
Our church has scheduled April 9 (Easter Sunday) as our first baptism and membership transfer ceremony for the year. All brothers and sisters who have been attending our church regularly for at least one year are welcome to sign up for baptism or transfer with your group leader or pastor.
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Prayer Pointers
Please remember in your prayers the year 2023 scheduled activities of each pastoral zone. This year, all pastoral zone will uniformly use Rev Caleb Soo "Christian Perspective For Every Generation" as the curriculum for bible study. Pray that our Lord would use this curriculum to help brothers and sisters to be clearer about God's principles of doing things and to use it as a blueprint for our actions and behaviour so that we can become vessels fit for the Lord's use!
Brother Ong Han Boo, the second brother of Sister Jean Ong had passed away on 8 Jan and returned to heavenly home. The memorial service was held on Tuesday evening and cremation took place on Wednesday. Please remember the bereaved family in your prayers!
Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Chan Li Wen, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Ng Moh Tuck in prayer.
