Welcome to ECF! We are a community of faithful disciples who journey together to worship God and serve the communities we touch. If you are new among us, we welcome you to journey together as you make the ECF Holy Word your family!
Our churchwide planning retreat for 2025 church year is happening on 8 Aug (9am-5pm) and 24 Aug (9am-12pm). Pastoral and matrix ministry leaders are reminded to reserve their time to attend. As 8 Aug is working day, please arrange your work schedule and take leave for this retreat early to ensure minimal disruption.
This coming Sunday will be our church’s family day! There are two segments to our family day. 9.30am-10.45am will be our combined Sunday service in church and the luncheon will be at Roland Restaurant from 12pm-2.30pm. The bus going to Roland from church will depart by phases at 11am. Due to limited elevator spaces, we encourage physically abled participants 40 years and below to walk up to the restaurant via stairs, exercise a little before our sumptuous lunch!
Pastor Lynn Chong will be conducting the fourth session of “Inductive Bible Study” on this Wednesday (15 May) at 8pm on Zoom. Pastoral leaders who are participants of this course are kindly reminded to be present.
Alpha season is coming! Let’s start to invite our family and friends for Alpha introduction dinner on 22 June! There will be a training session on 25 May (9am-12pm – Physical) for Alpha facilitators and helpers too. If you are interested to play a more active role in Alpha this year, please inform your cell group leader about it.
The elderly bible study will be held this Wednesday at 10am. Rev Ng will lead the class on the book of Joshua – Living in Canaan.
Prayer Requests
Let’s pray for our family day on 19 May. May the Lord guide us as we get to know each other’s family and friends in a deeper way through this event. May our hospitality leave a welcoming impression on all who come.
The Alpha season is coming and there will be many events happening in preparation for the Alpha season. Let’s pray for wisdom and strength as the Alpha committee plans and execute Alpha this year. We also pray that the hearts of our family and friends whom we are inviting to Alpha be open to accept our invitation.
