We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters to join our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
The church retreat will be held at the Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia from Friday (June 16-19). Brothers and sisters who are taking the bus chartered by church, please meet at the church at 8.30am on June 16. For those who are driving to the retreat on your own, please arrive at the hotel by 2pm on 16 June. The Retreat Committee has also prepared a "Participant's Guide" which is available after today’s Service. We will also send it out through each cell group. If you have any questions, please proceed to ask at the counter.
This coming Sunday is our Church Retreat (June 18), we will live-stream the worship service at the Retreat. Brothers and sisters who are not present at the Retreat can attend Sunday Service through video via cell phones or by coming to church. The service will start at 9.30am on Sunday morning as usual. Stay tuned!
Coming Tuesday evening is the church's General Council meeting, which will be held at 8pm at church. Please be on time for this meeting!
The church will delay its Annual General Meeting(AGM), which was originally scheduled for June 25. This is because the audit report for the church's 2022 financial year is still in progress. Please note that it will still be a combine service on that day.
Prayer Pointers
The church retreat will begin on Friday (June 16-19). Please remember in your prayers that the journey to and from the retreat will be smooth; that the activities at the retreat will be conducted smoothly and that brothers and sisters will be revived spiritually during this retreat.
Congregation prayer concerns：
Rev Ng injured the vertebrae in his back due to house moving in February. He had a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan on May 31 at the recommendation of his doctor and reviewed result with him on June 7. The initial diagnosis was aging with cartilage protrusion and was scheduled to receive physiotherapy. Please remember him in your prayers!
Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Wong Teh Kok, Sister Sam Kwai Leng, Sister Wan Geok Hong and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
