God’s Plan for His Family

Announcements

Welcome to ECF! We are a community of faithful disciples who journey together to worship God and to serve the communities we touch. If you are new among us, we welcome you to journey together as you make ECF Holy Word your family!

  1. Please take note that our leaders’ fellowship gathering in March will be on the 21 March (Thursday) instead of 20 March (Wednesday). We will have a time of fellowship together and Rev Andrew will be sharing on the topic of Shalom based on our reading of “Cultivating Your Inner Life”. Leaders are encouraged to read from chapters 1 to 8 in your own time before coming for the fellowship.

  2. Brother Xing Rong and some of his classmates are organizing a mission talk on 19 February from 7-9 pm on the topic of “Breaking the Myth of Missions”. If you would like to know more about the experiences and challenges missionaries go through, we invite you to join us. Link to register: https://bit.ly/breakingmyth

  3. The Lunar New Year is coming again! The church will be paying a visit to our Joo Seng neighbours on 18 February! Let the whole church participate in this very meaningful activity together! The activity will end by 12.30 pm.

  4. This year’s Lunar New Year combined service will be on 11 February. Service will start at 9 am to allow easier facilitation of members’ LNY visitations after service. There will also be a special ang pow offering that day, let us come together as we consecrate the new year for God’s purpose.

  5. From the 70 members who have submitted their giving pledge, the consolidated amount pledged is $312,861 for their tithes and offering in 2024.

  6. The elderly bible study will pause for the next two sessions because of LNY season (7 & 14 Feb). Lessons will resume on the 21 February.

Prayer Requests

  1. Let’s pray for the church’s community ministry as we will be entering the Bidadari neighbourhood in a deeper way to care for the community. May we have a heart of love for the community as we shine forth for God in the works we do.

  2. Let’s pray for the church’s rezoning appeal with URA. We have received a response from URA and the appeal application process begins soon. Pray that we will be able to find good help and lean tightly on God in this entire process. We will stay here to finish what God has called us to do where He has placed us.

Congregation Prayer Concerns

  1. Let us continue to keep Brother Chong Mook Sang, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Steven Lim Heok Theu, Brother Tan How Boon, Brother Wong Teh Kok and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
