The LORD Establishes Our Steps耶和华指引道路

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9
Much had happened during the past two years in many parts of the world. Whether it was the pandemic, international conflicts, or natural disasters, they had caused much consternation among people. Yet I give thanks to God, for each time I return to His Word, He gives me much comfort and encouragement. Today, I shall lead us to meditate upon Proverbs 16:9.
1. “The heart of man plans his way,’
Planning for one’s future is something common that most people do. A person with a sense of responsibility will always plan for his future. Should a young person be seen idling away, who never make plans or not giving his future the slightest thought, this person will generally be perceived as having little motivation in life. Indeed, we ought to plan for our future! So that we know where we are headed to. As a Christian, this is also the type of attitude we should adopt towards life! Yet we must not forget this is only part of a Christian’s life, and we need to prepare for the second part.
2. “but the Lord establishes his steps.’
As sons and daughter of God, we must do everything in our capacity to equip ourselves, and this process of self-equipping may not differ much from what a non-believer will go through. Yet, the one difference is that we must prepare ourselves to build an intimate relationship with God, so that when our plans differ from God’s, not only are we fully aware of it, but we are also willing to learn to let go of our own plans, submit to and follow the perfect path He has set out for us!
Dear brothers and sisters, always remember, all that we have today, if God had not permitted and protected, can all be gone in a moment! Whether as a church or an individual, let God establish our steps, so we may walk on the path He has set for us, all our life.

箴言书16：9
「人心计划自己的道路，他的脚步却由耶和华指引。」
过去这两年在世界各地发生了许多事情。无论是疫情、国与国之间的矛盾、甚至天灾人祸，都造成人心惶惶。但我要感谢主，每当我回到神的话，他总是给我许多的安慰与鼓励。今天，我要带领大家一起思想箴言书16章9节。
⒈“人心计划自己的道路”
这是许多人常做的事情，就是计划自己的将来。一位有责任感的人，总是会为自己的前途计划。若我们看到一位年轻人、无所事事、终日游手好闲，从来不为明天作计划与安排，一般上会觉得这个人没有什么上进心。确实，我们应当为自己的将来作安排与规划！以至于我们能够更清楚前面要走的路。身为基督徒，这也是我们积极生活必须有的态度！但是千万不可以忘记，这只是基督徒生命的其中一个部分，我们必须同时有第二方面的准备。
⒉“他的脚步却由耶和华指引”
亲爱的弟兄姐妹，千万要记得，我们今天所做及所拥有的一切，若不是神的许可与保守，你所拥有的一切，可以在一瞬间变成“一无所有”！无论是你个人或教会，让耶和华成为我们的指引，好让我们的一生是走在神所为我们预备的道路上。
