Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
This coming Wednesday is the first day of the Lunar New Year, on behalf of the church, we wish you all a blessed and healthy New Year; serve the Lord diligently and love Him more! Since the epidemic is still in the community, let's all be safe, wear masks and take care of our personal hygiene!
As the Omicron variant becomes more prevalent in our community, it should be no surprise that more and more people we know get infected. In fact, in the last couple of weeks, our church also had multiple reports of covid infections of our members of their family members. We thank God that none of them has any severe symptoms and there is no indication of transmission in church.
While we have nothing to fear if we have been vaccinated, the church leaders urge that we do not take things for granted.
As such, we encourage you to do the following:
· If you're not feeling well, please stay home and join the service online.
· If you're coming to church, we encourage you to take an ART test before heading out.
· Please inform your cell group leader or your pastor if you or your close contacts test positive. We want to monitor the situation.
· Get vaccinated if you haven’t. Go for your booster shot if you’re eligible. Build up your immunity through eating healthy and exercising.
· Continue to pray for the infected and the general Covid-19 situation.
This coming Thursday evening (8pm) is our monthly combined prayer meeting via Zoom online conference. We will provide the link to each pastoral zones on Wednesday. Please prepare your hearts as we come before God in prayer!
Recently we received a call from Rev Low Seng Huat, our church supported missionary through CCM, hoping that we could support missionaries Apichat and Meisa from Maeklang. Our General Council accepted Rev Ng’s proposal to support them for 1 year (S$5,400). As of now, we had raised $3890.90 (falling short of $1509.10). Today is our last day of collection, brothers and sisters can give via the internet or PayNow (please indicate “Charity Fund”) or hand it to the church’s Finance. Thank you!
Our church originally scheduled a CNY's visit to the Joo Seng community on February 13 (the 13th day of the Lunar New Year). However, due to the recent instability of the epidemic, we have decided to cancel this event. Please be take note of this!
ECF Worship Team is recruiting students for music lessons in guitar, cajon and vocals. Music background is preferred, but not crucial as training will be provided. We are looking for individuals who are considering to serve God through musical skills in the worship team, are committed and willing to learn. If you are interested to sign up for the music lessons, please contact Sister Kathleen Lee at 9295 5849 or Brother Benjamin Quek at 8468 5178 to find out more.
