We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters to join our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Brother Russell Siew’s mother, Sister Serene Sim, rested in peace and returned to heavenly home last Tuesday (May 30)! The memorial service was held on May 31 and the funeral was held the next day. Please remember the bereaved family in your prayers!.
This June 16-19 (Friday-Monday), the church will be holding a church retreat at the Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Brothers and sisters who are taking the bus chartered by church, please meet at church at 8.30am on June 16. For those who are driving to the retreat on your own, please arrive at the hotel by 2pm on 16 June. If you have any questions, please proceed to ask at the counter.
On the Sunday of Church Retreat (June 18), we will live-stream the worship service at the Retreat. Brothers and sisters who are not present at the Retreat can attend Sunday Service through video via cell phones or by coming to church. The service will start at 9.30am on Sunday morning as usual. Stay tuned!
The church’s new self-learning platform for Christian Education was officially launched last week! Our first course is on the epistle to the Colossians (English and Chinese), a 5 session course. We will be guiding you on how to access the platform via your cell groups. Do join us and learn the word of God together!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Prayer Pointers
Thailand just had its first national election since the epidemic on May 14. Pray for a stable political situation and smooth transition of power in Thailand. May the new government have a more integrity management so that the country can continue to prosper, and the peoples’ life can be more stable!

The report of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan done for Sister Koh Wee Ching on May 26 has been released and they went to the hospital last Tuesday to be briefed by the doctor. The report revealed a 3cm meningioma in the brain that needs to be removed as soon as possible to prevent it from becoming a malignant brain tumour. The surgery is scheduled for July 12 and will require a series of electrotherapy treatments after the surgery. Please remember in your prayers!
Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Wong Teh Kok and Sister Sam Kwai Leng in prayer.
