We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Rev Andrew Xu will be leading a short-term mission team to Northern Thailand from September 17 to 23 to co-work with Rev Low Seng Huat who is serving there. Brothers and sisters who will be participating this time include Sister Ng Siew Kim, Sister Jessie Ling and Sister Tan Jie Yi. Please remember in prayer!
December 24th will be the second baptism of the year for our church. Brothers and sisters who are interested in being baptized on that day or transfer membership, you may inquire and apply through the pastors. Applicants must be believers and have been attending our church services consistently for at least one year.
The church will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting(EGM) on Sunday, September 24 at 1:30 p.m. The main agenda is about the sale of church property and the purchase of new property. This is a major agenda for the church, please reserve time to attend the EGM on that day!
To strengthen the marriages and families of our brothers and sisters. The church will train a group of couples to be companions to walk with newlyweds. Rev Andrew has sent out invitations to brothers and sisters who have been invited to become companions and will begin 5 classes of training in October. Please continue to keep the families and marriages of our brothers and sisters in your prayers!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Prayer RequestsPlease pray for the coming presidential election on Friday. Pray that the Lord will choose a candidate after His own heart and give him the wisdom and vision to lead Singapore.
Congregation prayer concerns：
Please pray for Brother Benjamin Quek’s father, Quek Hong Keem. He is undergoing prostate removal surgery on Monday (28th Aug) due to 1st stage prostate cancer. We pray for God's surpassing peace to guard his mind and heart, for a successful surgery, and for him to encounter God through this experience.
Sister Wee Ching was discharged from the hospital last Friday and has returned home to recuperate. Please pray for her recuperation at home and for an early placement in a centre where she can receive physical therapy.
Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Chin Tai Cheng in prayer.
