Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters to join our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Coming Easter Sunday (April 9), there will be six brothers and sisters baptising and one membership transfer. The baptismal candidates are Brother Tan Wee Choon Jeff, Brother Niam Xing De, Sister Lee Kim Ya, Sister Eunice Lim Yun Roo, Sister Joyce Lim Jia Hui, Sister Layla Marilyn Smith; one membership transfer is Sister Ling Shu King Jessie. Please remember them in your prayers.
After deliberation, the Management Committee of Neighbour Ring Community Services has decided to appoint Deacon Daniel Xu to be the full-time Executive Director of the organisation starting April 1. He will be responsible for the development and operation of the entire organisation. Do remember him in your prayers!
Our church Good Friday service will be held on Thursday April 6 at 8pm at #74. Please prepare your hearts to attend and remember the love and grace of the Lord Jesus crucified for the world!
Our church will change the worship service on April 16 & 23 to combined services (9.30am). This is because the leaders need to hold a Town Hall and Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) about the church location at 11.30 am on these two Sundays. Leaders who are having cell groups on these two Sundays at 11.30 am, please take note and make some adjustments to your cell group program!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
This June 16 - 19 (Friday-Monday), the church will be holding a church retreat at the Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Brothers and sisters are invited to sign up for the camp. Forms can be submitted to the registration counter after service (payment can be made starting next week)!
As Rev Ng has moved to his new house, the church has started using a key for locking of the entrance door of #70 due to management and security reasons. Therefore, any group that will be coming to church on weekdays, especially after 5 pm, cell group leader please notify Sister Siew Cheng in advance to pick up the key. We will distribute the process details to all cell group leaders.
Prayer Pointers
Please remember in your prayers the seven brothers and sisters who were baptizing and transferring membership at the coming Easter Sunday (see item 2 of the Announcement). Pray that the Holy Spirit will fill them so that they can be fully committed to the Lord, love Him, serve Him, and be of a testimony for Him!
Let us continue to keep, Brother Chan Li Wen, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Kamisah in prayer.
