Our church has scheduled a New Testament overview course in English and Chinese for October and November respectively. The English course will be taught by Dr Andrew B. Spurgeon on October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 (five classes). The Chinese course will be taught by Mrs Lee-Yeung Kam Lan on November 5, 12, 19, 26 (4 classes). Both courses will be held on Saturdays from 10am to 11.30am via Zoom. Brothers and sisters can sign up through your cell group from today onwards.
Our church has scheduled 4 December as our year 2022 second baptism and transfer of membership ceremony. Brothers and sisters who have been attending our church regularly for at least 1 year are welcome to sign up with your group leader or Pastor. Registration will end today (25 Sep) as the baptism class is starting soon.
In this year’s December 17-19 (Sat-Mon), our church will be having a retreat for youths and young adults.
In line with this year’s church theme—A Treasured Being, our retreat theme will be “Chosen”. This retreat is open to everyone in the Joseph Pastoral Zone. So, let’s take a pause from our busy lives to meditate on our identity and values in Christ. Let’s be recharged and refreshed to serve God!

Our church's Elderly Pastoral Zone has arranged a day trip to Muar (Malaysia) on Wednesday, November 2. Brothers and sisters who are interested can contact Rev Ng for more information. The registration ends on October 2. This coming Wednesday, there will be bible study at 10am as usual, please be on time!
Prayer Pointers
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Taitung County, Taiwan on September 17, and a 6.8 magnitude shallow earthquake occurred in the afternoon of the 18th. This earthquake caused many casualties and damage to property. Please remember in your prayers!

Sister Tan Num Kew had passed away last Friday and returned to heavenly home! A memorial service is scheduled for tonight and the funeral will be held tomorrow. Please remember the bereaved family in your prayers. (Location and time were not confirmed at the time of this final draft)
Sister Jean Ong was discharged from the hospital last Monday to go home and recuperate. She will be returning to the hospital for physiotherapy and a review with Orthopedist at a later date. Please continue to remember her in your prayers.
Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Sam Kwai Leng in prayer.
