Announcements
Welcome to ECF! We are a community of faithful disciples who journey together to worship God and to serve the communities we touch. If you are new among us, we welcome you to journey together as you make ECF Holy Word your family!
Our church is holding a Maundy Thursday evening service this Thursday from 8pm to 9.30pm in church. The location is #74 sanctuary. Let us prepare our hearts as we gather to remember the great love and sacrifice our Lord Jesus has done for us.
Our combined Easter Sunday Service coming Sunday will be an evangelistic event, cell groups can start to invite new friends to join us in our Easter celebration. There will be three brothers and sisters baptising and transferring membership. The baptismal candidate is Sister Wong Ping Khan. Membership transfer candidates are Brother Vincent Chen and Sister Jana Ng.
Pastor Lynn Chong will be conducting the third session of “Inductive Bible Study” on 3 Apr at 8pm on Zoom. Pastoral leaders who are participants of this course are kindly reminded to be present.
We are having our combined Family Day service on 19 May! The service will be evangelistic and we will also be organising a luncheon with exciting family activities at Roland Restaurant after service. Register immediately for your family after service. The registration fee for the event is $20 after church subsidy. The actual cost of the event for each person is $50+, you can support the event through free will offering should your finances allow.
Our church’s elderly pastoral zone is organizing a day trip to Mersing (Malaysia) on the 9 May (Thursday). The fee for each person is $69. You can register for or find out more about the trip with Rev Ng.
The elderly bible study will be held this Wednesday at 10am. Rev Ng will lead the class on the book of Joshua – Living in Canaan.
Prayer Requests
We want to give thanks for the fellowship between the church leadership last Thursday! May we be a team after God’s heart and be greatly used by Him.
Let’s pray for the church’s rezoning appeal with URA. We have received a response from URA and the appeal application process begin soon. Pray that we will be able to find good help and lean tightly on God in this entire process. We will stay here to finish what God has called us to do in where He has placed us.
Congregation Prayer Concerns
Let us keep brother Chee Peng in prayer. He was recently diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer and will follow up with the specialist in April before deciding on the next step of treatment.
Let us continue to keep Brother Chong Mook Sang, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Steven Lim Heok Theu, Brother Wong Teh Kok and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
