We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Our church will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting(EGM) on November 13, 11.30am. The main purpose of this meeting is to approve and adopt the budget for 2023. All eligible members are requested to attend the meeting on time.
This coming Thursday evening(8pm) is our monthly combined prayer meeting. It will be held via both physical (in church) and Zoom (online conference). We will provide the link to each pastoral zones on Wednesday. Please prepare your hearts as we come before God in prayer!
The Chinese New Testament Overview course will start on coming Saturday and will be taught by Mrs Lee-Yeung Kam Lan on November 5, 12, 19, 26 (4 classes). This course will be held on Saturdays from 10am to 11.30am via Zoom. Brothers and sisters can sign up through your cell group from today onwards.
Our church's Elderly Pastoral Zone has arranged a day trip to Muar (Malaysia) on coming Wednesday, November 2. A total of 38 brothers and sisters and friends are participating. All participants are requested to arrive at the church at 6.15am that morning. We will leave at 6.30am sharp!
Our church will hold a youth and young adult retreat from Dec 17-19 (Sat to Mon). In response to this year's church theme "Treasured Being", our retreat theme will be "Chosen". The retreat location will be at National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI) - 70 South Buona Vista Road, S118176. The retreat fee is $50 for working adults and $30 for students or those serving NS. Please register via ttps://tinyurl.com/JPZretreat22 and registration will end on Nov 13. ECF Sunday School Camp will be held on 2 Dec 2022(Friday), 9am-5pm at #74! Children between the ages of 4 and 11 are welcome to attend and do invite friends too! We would need some helpers for this camp. For more information and registration, please contact Teacher Estee (91125164).
Prayer Pointers
Please continue to pray that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will end soon. As the war between Russia and Ukraine intensifies, it is causing global inflation. The food and energy crisis will make life more difficult for people in many countries.
Congregation prayer concerns:
(1) Many brothers and sisters have been tested positive for Covid recently. Please pray for their speedy recovery. Do take precautionary protection when you are out on street.(2) Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Ling Le Cheng in prayer.
