Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Today our church will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) at 1.30 pm in physical form. The main agenda is about the sale of church property. We will be voting after explanation and will ensure voting secrecy. Brothers and Sisters can sign in for the meeting at #74 @ 1.15 pm after lunch!
Starting next Sunday, our church will stop providing live streaming link widely, and we encourage brothers and sisters to come back to the church to participate in the physical worship services. We will continue to live stream for every Sunday Service but will only give the link to those who need it: those who are sick, those who are unable to leave their homes, and those who are overseas. Brothers and sisters who need the link would have to request through church website or through the pastors.
The 25th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of Johor Bahru Kailer Christian Church will be held on October 21st (Saturday)! Brothers and sisters who are taking the transportation arranged by our church are requested to arrive at church at 8.45 am on that day and we will leave at 9am sharp. The Service will start at 12 noon. Brothers and Sisters who are going on your own, please take note!
Please be advised that the Christian Education course which was scheduled to start in October has been cancelled due to the unavailability of a suitable speaker!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10 am. Please join us!
Prayer RequestsPlease continue to pray for the appeal for location swap of religious use. Let us continue to pray in faith for God's mighty hand to intervene and that there would be an opportunity to meet with the person in charge of the relevant authorities to explain the situation! Regardless of the outcome, we know that God will bless our church with the best!
Congregation prayer concerns：
Please pray for Sister Lee Kim Buay, she was admitted to the hospital with epilepsy and pneumonia. The hospital is currently using antibiotics to treat her lung infection. To prevent her from having a heart attack, doctors are also using blood thinners!
Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Benjamin Quek's father, Quek Hong Keem and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
