Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
In order to build up the families of our brothers and sisters in the church, we will begin training a group of "Couple Mentors" to walk with newlyweds and young couples in the church. This coming Wednesday, Rev Andrew will continue with lesson 2 through Zoom. All invited couples are encouraged to attend on time!
Joseph Pastoral Zone (Youth) will be holding a camp on December 20-23 (Wednesday-Saturday). The theme is "The Purpose Driven Life" and the fees are $75 (working adult/NS) and $55 (students/interns). During the camp, the camp committee is also organizing a Christmas program for newcomers on December 22 at 2pm. It will be held at the Sembawang BB/GB campsite. For more information, please contact Brother Caleb Ong or Sister Grace Lim.
Children Sunday School is organising 3 activities this quarter. A "Post-Exam BBQ" on 5th Nov (Sun) - 4pm to 9pm, our annual "ECF Kids Camp" on 8th Dec (Fri) - 9am to 5pm and lastly "Christmas @ Sunday School" on 24th Dec (Sun) 9.30am to 11.30am. Do RSVP with Sunday School and encourage your family & friends to join in too! They are also looking at recruiting volunteers for the Kids Camp!
This year's Community Christmas Celebration will be held on December 16 (Saturday) organized by Potong Pasir Community Club. The venue will be at the Community Club located in Woodleigh Mall. We will also be involved in the presentation of the program. This is a major community event for the church, all brothers and sisters are requested to set aside time to participate!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Our church will publish an end-of-year thanksgiving magazine this Christmas. In addition to the sharing of pastors, leaders and ministries, we also hope to collect testimonies of thanksgiving from brothers and sisters. Please submit your testimonies to your cell leader or pastor by 15th of October at the latest.
Please continue to pray for the church's appeal for a location swap of religious use:
Please continue to remember the conflict between Israel and Hamas in your prayers. According to UN estimates, more than one million Gazans have been displaced since the outbreak of the Israeli-Hamas conflict, almost half of the total population of Gaza. Pray for the Lord's mercy that the urgently needed relief supplies can reach the affected areas and the people be cared for in a timely manner!
Congregation prayer concerns:
(1) Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer!
