Announcements

We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!

  1. Children's ministry will start using Quartz from today onwards. Children's service will start at 9.30am sharp. Parents are reminded to arrive early before 9.15am to avoid disruption.

  2. Our church has arranged 4 lessons of Old Testament Overview in Chinese. We will be  having lesson 3 this coming Saturday (May 14, 21, 28 and June 4). The speaker is Dr. Cynthia Zhang, and the time is from 10am to 1130am via Zoom. Please be on time if you have signed up!

  3. Our church will be having a half-day church retreat on Friday, June 17. The theme of the retreat is “It is time”. The location is at Imperial Restaurant @ FourPoints Hotel (Havelock) from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. This is the first time since the outbreak that the church has arranged such a combine event. We hope all brothers and sisters can participate as a  family. The fee is $15 for adults, $10 for all ages (60 and up), students and children. You can register through your cell group from today onwards. Please pay the fee at #70 registration counter!

  4. Our Church's Youth Ministry Joseph Pastoral zone will be holding the following activities in May and June. Interested participants may approach Mentor Grace Gan or Mentor Ben Quek for more information.

          (1) Game Activity: May 29th (Sunday) from 2pm-4pm

          (2) Youth Alpha Camp: June 20-22 (Mon.-Wed)

  5. May’s leadership trainings are scheduled as follows: Rev Ng’s class on 27 May, Ps Andrew's class on 27 May and Sister Kathleen's class on 23 May. Training will be conducted via Zoom. Please take note!

Prayer Pointers

  1. Family is a very important basic unit of the church. Disharmony in the Christian family may bring about problems between husband and wife, parenting problems, and growth of children. It will also affect our ministry. Pastors have recently been discussing how to help brothers and sisters to build a harmonious and God-pleasing family. Please remember this in your prayers!

  2. Intercession for Congregation :

    (1) Sister Oh Siew Cheng's father, Oh Tai Sing, was admitted to the hospital last Monday after a heart attack. After several days of treatment in the intensive care unit, he was transferred to the general ward on Thursday. Due to the blockage of several blood vessels, the doctor recommended a bypass surgery. Please remember him in your prayers, not only for his body, but also for his salvation!

    (2) Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Goh Wee Shin, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Tan Num Kew in prayer.
