Announcements
Welcome to ECF! We are a community of faithful disciples who journey together to worship God and to serve the communities we touch. If you are new among us, we welcome you to journey together as you make ECF Holy Word your family!
This year’s Lunar New Year combined service will be on 11 February. Service will start at 9am in the morning to allow easier facilitation of members’ LNY visitations after service. There will also be a special angpow offering that day, let us come together as we consecrate the new year for God’s purpose.
Our dear sister Xenia, second daughter of brother Yeoh Seow Ling Andrew and sister Choo Lin Chee is getting married this Saturday! Due to the limited capacity of the wedding church premise, the family regrets that they won’t be able to invite the entire church. Let’s join the church in blessing the family in this joyous occasion!
Today is the deadline for submission of the giving pledge for 2024 Please assist to submit your pledge today should you not have done so. Your pledge will allow our leaders to plan our church’s growth more effectively.
Should you intend to baptise or transfer membership this Easter, please indicate your intention with your cell leader or zone pastor by next Sunday 28 January. Baptism class will start in February.
The elderly bible study will be held this Wednesday at 10am. Rev Ng will lead the class on the book of Joshua – Living in Canaan.
Have you started following our church’s bible reading plan? Check off your reading in the bible reading plan booklet and get an encouragement prize every quarter for following through!
Prayer Requests
Let’s pray for the church’s rezoning appeal with URA. We have received a response from URA and the appeal application process begin soon. Pray that we will be able to find good help and lean tightly on God in this entire process. We will stay here to finish what God has called us to do in where He has placed us.
Congregation Prayer Concerns
Let’s continue to keep Brother Tan How Boon in prayers. The doctor found a small hole in one of the small blood vessel during his review. The doctor will follow up on 8 February to see if the hole has healed. A small surgery might be required if the hole is not healed by then.
Sister Chong Ah Moi is getting better and has been recovering at home from two weeks ago. She is still experiencing pain in the leg. Let’s continue to keep her in prayers.
Let us continue to keep Brother Chong Mook Sang, Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Steven Lim Heok Theu and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
