We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Parents of children who are in children's ministry, please take note that we will trial a new place this coming Sunday (Mar 27). The location is at 5 Upper Aljunied Link, #06-05/06, Quartz Industrial Building, Singapore 367903 (opposite our church). Parents are to bring their children directly to the location on Sunday morning and arrive before 9.15am for registration. For parents who are taking public transportation, Pastor Andrew will leave for the location at 9.05am sharp from church, you can follow him to the location too. Please reach out to Sunday School teachers or Pastor Andrew if you have any queries.
Our church has scheduled an Old Testament overview course in English and Chinese for April and May respectively. The English course will be taught by Dr Andrew B. Spurgeon on April 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 (five classes). The Chinese course will be taught by Dr Cynthia Chang on May 7, 14, 21, 28 (4 classes). Both courses will be held on Saturdays from 10am to 11.30am via Zoom. Brothers and sisters can sign up through your cell group from today onwards.
Our church has scheduled Easter Sunday (Apr 17) as our year 2022 first baptism and transfer of membership ceremony. Brother Jeff Tan Wee Choon, Brother Andy Gong, Sister Cui Yu, and Sister Xenia Yeoh will be baptizing this round, please remember them in your prayers!
Our church will hold Good Friday service on Apr 14 (Thursday) 8pm via physical and online. Please be prepared to participate!
Prayer Pointers
Please pray for the community outreach ministry of our church. Currently, we are primarily ministering to the elderlies of the community through NRCS (Blk 8). Pastors and church leaders are also actively seeking opportunities to reach out to young families in the new Bidadari estate, may Lord lead and give wisdom to our co-workers in planning!
Please pray for the situation in Russia and Ukraine. A significant number of Ukrainians are fleeing to neighboring countries as refugees. Pastor Li Lin and her husband, who is serving in Ukraine have also fled to Hungary. They are also infected with the Omicron virus. Please remember them in your prayer!
Pray for congregation prayer concerns:
Please remember Brother Goh Wee Shin in your prayers. Recently, he couldn’t sleep at night and had slipped from bed to the floor last Tuesday. His family called an ambulance to take him to the hospital for examination for his safety. Currently, he is still receiving treatment in the hospital. Please remember him in your prayer!
Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Sam Kwai Leng, and Sister Tan Num Kew in prayer.
