Welcome to ECF! We are a community of faithful disciples who journey together to worship God and to serve the communities we touch. If you are new among us, we welcome you to journey together as you make ECF Holy Word your family!
The church is inviting gospel singer Wen Bi Er from Taiwan. She is a survivor of a serious episode of meningitis and depression. She will share her testimony with us through songs and life sharing this coming Saturday (20 Jul) at 10am in Church. The theme of her sharing is “A Life Worth Living”. Do pray and invite your friends and family to join this event!
We thank the Lord for His grace. Starting in July this year, our sister Teng Kee Nieng will begin her studies at the Singapore Bible College Master in Counselling (English). Along with Deacon Daniel and Brother Xing Rong, the church is currently supporting all three of them in their equipping journey. We are grateful for them and ask that you remember them in your prayers. The church has also arranged for Brother Xing Rong and his wife, Esther, as well as Sister Kee Nieng, to stay in two rooms on the second floor of #72. Therefore, #72 now houses three ministry workers, including Rev Peter Koh.
The Chinese Alpha is happening at 2pm in #70 MPH this afternoon. If you have registered for the Alpha, please be there on time. There are 10 sessions for Alpha, let us also pray for the new friends joining us!
Pastor Lynn Chong will be conducting the fifth session of “Inductive Bible Study” this Wednesday (17 Jul) at 8pm on Zoom. Pastoral leaders who are participants of this course are kindly reminded to be present.
Our bible reading plan has progressed for 6 months! If you have been following, please get an encouragement gift from Rev Andrew!
The elderly bible study will be held this Wednesday at 10am. This season, Rev Ng will lead us in learning God's word through bible reading and prayer, please be on time!
Prayer Requests
Let’s pray for the church’s rezoning application with URA. We are currently preparing for the application package according to the authorities’ requirements. Pray that we will find favor with the authorities and lean tightly on God in this entire process. We will stay here to finish what God has called us to do in where He has placed us.
Let us continue to pray for brother Lock Chee Peng. He underwent a surgery on Thursday but as the abdomen is still bleeding, the doctor advised for another surgery. Let’s pray that this surgery will go smoothly and that he will recover quickly!
Let’s continue to keep Sister Lee Fong Mei’s (Grace) chemotherapy in prayer. We ask that God keep the side effects to the lowest and that she will have peace through the treatment.
