This coming Sunday (18 Dec) is a Combined Service at 9.30am. Brothers and Sisters, please take note.
Our member Brother Lim Dean Kwee had passed away last Tuesday from a cardiac coronary disease and returned to his heavenly home! The memorial service was held last Friday and the funeral was held the following Saturday. Please remember the bereaved family in your prayers!
This coming Saturday 18 December 6.30pm to 10pm, our church will co-host a community Christmas party with the Joo Seng Residents’ Network. In addition to the wonderful programs presented by our brothers and sisters, there will also be game booths, durian quiz and lucky draw. Brothers and sisters are welcome to invite their friends and families to attend the party. Tickets are sold at $4 each and can be purchased after the service at the counter located at #70.
The ordination process of Ps Andrew Xu has been successfully completed and has been unanimously approved by all five members of the ordination committee to ordain Ps Andrew Xu. The ordination ceremony will be held on 1 January 2023 at 3pm at Logos Christian Church (20 Lor Ah Soo). This is a day of celebration for our church, please reserve your time and participate with your family. To facilitate the planning committee in arranging, anyone who wants to attend can sign up at #70 counter after the service or sign up through your cell group.
Rev Ng will be traveling with Joshua cell group to Malacca for three days from Wednesday to Friday. Please note that we will take a break for this coming Wednesday senior bible study!
Due to government's easing of epidemic prevention measures for the coronavirus, our church deacons have decided to change the "mandatory" mask requirement for church services to "encouraged" mask requirement with immediate effect. We will adjust to the government's regulations on the epidemic as and when it’s announced.
Prayer Pointers
Our Church’s Joseph Pastoral Zone will hold a youth retreat from 17 to 19 Dec (Saturday to Monday). The theme of the retreat is "Chosen". Pray that the Lord would raise up our youth to be more aware of their identity and value in Christ during this retreat and be prepared to commit themselves to serve the Lord!
Congregation prayer concerns：
(1)Sister Ng Moh Tuck was examined by the doctor and her condition is fine now. However, her legs are weak and need to be assisted when walking. For safety reasons, the hospital is unable to discharge her for now. They are currently in process of hiring a maid to take care of her, please pray for her.
(2)Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Chan Li Wen, Sister Sam Kwai Leng, Sister Ling Ie Cheng and Sister Lee Kim Buay in prayer.
