We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Coming Dec 12(Baptism Service), there will be ten brothers and sisters baptising and membership transfer. The baptismal candidates are Brother Tan Wen Chen, Brother Zachary Ibrahim, Brother Malcolm Liew Jia En, Sister Ng Geak Inn, Sister Kok Yuling. Membership transfer candidates are Brother Yang Lee Fook, Sister Mao Yiling, Sister Teng Kee Nieng, Sister Eileen Seah, Sister Angeline Chua. Please remember them in your prayers.
The church will hold a combined Year-End Thanksgiving Service on December 31 (Sunday). The handover of the Senior Pastor baton and the installation of the new term General Council and Deacon Council members will also be held on that day. This is a day of celebration and thanksgiving, let us come together to Him and offer our thanksgiving to the Lord who loves us!
The church will have the following gatherings during the Christmas period
(1) 16/12 Community Christmas Celebration (Woodleigh Mall Community Club)
(2) 24/12 Combined Christmas Service
(3) 24/12 Baptism Service
(4) 24/12 Carolling in Joo Seng Community
Joseph Pastoral Zone (Youth) will be holding a camp on December 20-23 (Wednesday-Saturday). The theme is "Pursuit" and the fees are $75 (working adult/NS) and $55 (students/interns). During the camp, the camp committee is also organizing a Christmas program（Theme: “Christmas Conversations”）for newcomers on December 22 at 1.15pm. It will be held at the Sembawang BB/GB campsite. Children Sunday School is organising "Christmas @ Sunday School" on 24th Dec (Sunday 9.30am to 11.30am). We welcome all children to attend, and you may reach out to Children Ministry teachers for more info.
The church will be carolling in Joo Seng community on December 24 at 7.30pm. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to participate as a family. Rev Ng has forwarded the songs to all who have registered through cell group! We encourage each cell group to organize their own practicing.
Brother Niam Xing Rong will be sharing God’s word during the elderly bible study on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Prayer Request
Brother Steven Lim Heok Theu’s colectomy surgery last Monday was very successful, and he returned home last Thursday to recuperate after a few days of rest in the hospital. Please pray for his physical recovery!
Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Chong Mook Sang, Brother Tan How Boon, Sister Koh Wee Ching and Sister Chong Ah Moi in prayer.
