We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Our church pastor will call for a pastoral leader gathering on October 18(Wednesday) at 8pm. All General Council members, Deacon Council members and pastoral cell leaders are requested to be on time. The gathering will take place in Service Hall at #74.
The 25th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of Johor Bahru Kailer Christian Church will be held on October 21st (Saturday)! Brothers and sisters who are taking the transportation arranged by our church are requested to arrive at the church at 8.45am on that day and we will leave at 9am sharp. The Service will start at 12 noon. Brothers and Sisters who are going on your own, please take note!
This year's Community Christmas Celebration will be held on 16th of December (Saturday), organized by Potong Pasir Community Club. The venue will be at the Community Club located in Woodleigh Mall. We will also be involved in the presentation of the program. This is a major community event for the church, all brothers and sisters are requested to set aside time to participate!
In order to build up the families of our brothers and sisters in the church, we will begin training a group of "Couple Mentors" to walk with newlyweds and young couples in the church. Rev Andrew will start a series of classes through Zoom. The following are the dates for the five sessions: October 4th & 25th; November 1st, 8th & 25th. All invited couples are kindly requested to attend on time!
Our church will publish an end-of-year Thanksgiving magazine this Christmas. In addition to the sharing of pastors, leaders and ministries, we also hope to collect testimonies of thanksgiving from brothers and sisters. Please submit your testimonies to your cell leader or pastor by the 15th of October at the latest.
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Please join us!
Please continue to pray for the church's appeal for a location swap of religious use:
Our church has sent a letter of appeal to the Ministry of National Development. Please pray that our appeal will be handled as soon as possible by the relevant authorities.
Pray for the Lord's wisdom in guiding our General Council in handling the worship venue matter. Whether it be appeals, sales, purchases, etc., pray that the Lord would lead our leaders so that they would be clear about God's heart and guidance!
Congregation prayer concerns：
We thank the Lord that Sister Wee Ching has received approval from Kwong Wai Shiu Care Centre in Potong Pasir to visit the centre five times a week for rehab. Please continue to pray for her recovery!
Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim in prayer.
