Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
The following are the main gatherings and activities of our church for the first half of this year
22/1 Lunar New Year's Day Combined Service (9am)
29/1 Community Orange Distribution (11.30am)
6/4 Good Friday Service (8pm)
9/4 Easter Baptism Service (9.30am)
Saturdays in May Christian Education classes (10am)
16/6-19/6 Church Retreat(Grand Paragon Hotel JB)
Our member Brother Lim Dean Kwee had passed away last Tuesday from a cardiac coronary disease and returned to his heavenly home! The memorial service was held last Friday and the funeral was held the following Saturday. Please remember the bereaved family in your prayers!
Our church has scheduled April 9 (Easter Sunday) as our first baptism and membership transfer ceremony for the year. All brothers and sisters who have been attending our church regularly for at least one year are welcome to sign up for baptism or transfer with your group leader or pastor.
Deacon Meeting will be held on the coming Tuesday at 8pm in church. Please be on time!
Our church will begin Sunday flower offering again in 2023. Brothers and sisters who are interested can fill up the schedule at the notice board in MPH #70 after service. The Sunday flower offering amount is $70 and all are welcome to participate!
The first day of the Lunar New Year in the coming year falls on a Sunday (22 Jan 2023). In order for brothers and sisters to organize their schedule better for that day, we will start the Combined Service earlier that day at 9am. Let's come to the Lord and worship Him before visiting our friends and relatives.
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Please join us!
Prayer Pointers
Please continue to remember Sister Ng Moh Tuck in your prayers. She has been discharged from the hospital to recuperate at home. Also pray for the early approval of the maid's permit.
Rev Ng was in the hospital last Tuesday to baptize Brother Ong Han Boo, the second brother of Sister Jean Ong. The doctor also informed the family that his kidney is no longer able to function properly and asked the family to be mentally prepared. Please remember them in your prayers!
Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Chan Li Wen, Sister Sam Kwai Leng, Sister Ling Ie Cheng and Sister Lee Kim Buay in prayer.
