Welcome to ECF! We are a community of faithful disciples who journey together to worship God and serve the communities we touch. If you are new among us, we welcome you to journey together as you make the ECF Holy Word your family!
This coming Thursday evening (8 pm) is our church’s May combined prayer meeting. It will take place in #74 sanctuary. Let’s prepare our hearts to come before God in prayer!
The elderly pastoral zone is going for their Mersing day trip this Thursday (9 May). Brothers and sisters registered for the trip are reminded to reach church by 6.15 am. The bus will set off at 6.30 am sharp and return to Singapore around 8 pm.
Today is the registration deadline for our 19 May Family Day event. There are two segments to our family day. 9.30 am-10.45 am will be our combined Sunday service in church and the luncheon will be at Roland Restaurant from 12 pm-2.30 pm. For those who have registered for the luncheon, please fill up the form to indicate the names of the guests you have invited and submit it to the registration counter.
Pastor Lynn Chong will be conducting the fourth session of “Inductive Bible Study” on 15 May at 8 pm on Zoom. Pastoral leaders who are participants in this course are kindly reminded to be present.
The Alpha season is coming! Let’s start by inviting our family and friends for the Alpha introduction dinner on 22 June! There will be a training session on 25 May (9 am-12 pm – Physical) for Alpha facilitators and helpers too. If you are interested in playing a more active role in Alpha this year, please inform your cell group leader about it.
There will not be elderly bible study this Wednesday because of the Mersing trip on Thursday. Please take note.
Prayer Requests
Let’s pray for our family day on 19 May. May the Lord guide us as we get to know each other’s family and friends more deeply through this event. May our hospitality leave a welcoming impression on all who come.
The Alpha season is coming and there will be many events happening in preparation for the Alpha season. Let’s pray for wisdom and strength as the Alpha committee plans and executes Alpha this year. We also pray that the hearts of our family and friends whom we are inviting to Alpha be open to accepting our invitation.
Congregation Prayer Concerns
Let us continue to keep Brother Lock Chee Peng, Brother Chong Mook Sang, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Steven Lim Heok Theu, Brother Wong Teh Kok and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
