We want to welcome all our guests, brothers, and sisters to join our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
This coming Saturday (11 March), the pastors arranged an open prayer meeting for all congregation, especially for the "Canaan Project". The time is 9 am at our church. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to join in and pray for the church!
The church is organizing an Easter community visit to our friends in Bidadari on the 31st of March at 7 pm. We hope to know our Bidadari neighbors better and also introduce our church to them. We will also conduct a training on the 18th of March (Saturday) from 5 pm to 6.30 pm in church. Please register with your cell group leader to participate. This is our first step into the new Bidadari neighborhood, so do participate together!
This June 16-19 (Friday-Monday), the church will be holding a church retreat at the Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Brothers and sisters can sign up from today onwards through your cell group or at the counter after the Sunday service. Fee details are listed on the registration form, kindly register one name per form. Please reserve time for the whole family to attend.
Rev Ng will be moving to his new home at Joo Seng Blk 9 on 14 March. Therefore, for any group that will be coming to church on weekdays, especially after 5 pm, cell group leaders please make sure to notify Sister Siew Cheng in advance.
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10 am. Please join us!
Prayer Pointers
Please pray for the Bidadari new community. Pray that the Holy Spirit would work in this young community so that the hearts of the residents would be open to the church and the gospel. Pray also that the Lord would prepare brothers and sisters to enter into their midst and serve them with God's love so that they too might experience God's love as a result!
The church will be re-electing its leaders for the years 2024-2025 this year. Rev Ng will set up a nominating committee in mid-April as the start of the nomination process. Pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts of our brothers and sisters so that when they are nominated, they would all be willing to take a step of faith and humbly allow God to use them!
Sister Kamisah (90), the mother of Sister Tang Siew Eng, has been in poor health recently. She is currently living in the home of her youngest son in Batam. Please remember in your prayers!
Let us continue to keep, Brother Chan Li Wen, Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Sam Kwai Leng in prayer.
