Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
This coming Thursday evening(8pm) is our church's September combine prayer meeting. It will take place in #74 Service Hall. Please prepare your hearts and come together to pray before God!
Rev Andrew Xu will be leading a short-term mission team to Northern Thailand from September 17 to 23 to co-work with Rev Low Seng Huat who is serving there. Brothers and sisters who will be participating this time include Sister Ng Siew Kim, Sister Jessie Ling and Sister Tan Jie Yi. Please remember in prayer!
The church will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting(EGM) on Sunday, September 24 at 1:30pm. The main agenda is about the sale of church property and the purchase of new property. This is a major agenda for the church, please reserve time to attend the EGM on that day!
December 24th will be the second baptism of the year for our church. Brothers and sisters who are interested in being baptised on that day or transfer membership, you may inquire and apply through the pastors. Applicants must be believers and have attended our church services consistently for at least one year.
We have set up a Lost & Found counter at #70 level 1, glass shelving near stairway to the basement. If you can’t find your left-behind item, please check it out at the Lost & Found counter. Item will be kept for 2 weeks, after which Church Admin will dispose of it.
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Please join us!
Prayer RequestsThe Ministry of National Development replied to us last week to our church's application for the swap of religious use allowance from #74 to #70, stating that they have received the church's appeal and will look into it as soon as possible. Brothers and sisters, please continue to keep this in your prayers.
Congregation prayer concerns:
Brother Benjamin Quek’s father, Quek Hong Keem, underwent a successful prostate removal surgery last Monday and is still recuperating in the hospital. Please continue to remember him in your prayers and pray that Mr. Quek's heart will turn to Jesus.
Sister Wee Ching was discharged from the hospital last Friday and has returned home to recuperate. Please pray for her recuperation at home and for an early placement in a centre where she can receive physical therapy.
Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
