Announcements
We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Our beloved Sister Lee Kim Buay passed away last Thursday and returned to Heavenly Home. The Memorial Service took place on Saturday and the Encoffining Service will be held today at 1.45 pm. The Cremation Service will be held at 2.45 pm in Mandai Crematorium Service Hall 1. Please continue to remember the bereaved family in your prayers.
We thank the Lord for leading last week's Extraordinary General Meeting to a successful completion. A total of 84 eligible members voted, of which 58 were in favour, 24 were against it and 2 votes were void. The motion to authorize the leaders to handle the sale of property #70 was passed successfully. Please continue to pray for the church and ask the Lord to give the leaders wisdom to deal with the matter.
This Thursday evening(8 p.m.) is our church's October combined prayer meeting. It will take place in #74 Service Hall. Please prepare your hearts and come together to pray before God!
The Deacon Council meeting will be held this coming Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the church. Co-workers, please be on time!
In order to build up the families of our brothers and sisters in the church, we will begin training a group of "Couple Mentors" to walk with newlyweds and young couples in the church. This coming Wednesday, Rev Andrew will start a series of classes through Zoom. All invited couples are encouraged to attend on time!
Elderly bible study will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Please join us!
Prayer RequestsLet's continue to pray unceasingly for the appeal for location swap of religious use. Although we passed the motion to authorize the leaders to proceed with the sale of #70 last week, the desire of the pastors and leaders is to remain here to worship and serve this community. Let us continue to cry out to God in faith, and may God's will be done in our church!
Congregation prayer concerns:
Please continue to remember Sister Koh Wee Ching in your prayers. She has applied successfully for rehab at the Kwong Wai Shiu Care Center in Potong Pasir.
Let us continue to keep Brother Wong Teh Kok, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Benjamin Quek's father, Quek Hong Keem and Sister Koh Wee Ching in prayer.
