We want to welcome all our guests, brothers and sisters for joining our Sunday service. Our vision is to be a “disciple-making church among our communities” and there are 3 missions “Discipleship, Community, Missions”. We invite you to join us as we progress toward this goal. We hope that ECF Holy Word will be the place to nurture your spiritual growth!
Our church has scheduled 4 lessons of Old Testament overview course in Chinese in May which will be taught by Dr Cynthia Chang. This course will be held on Saturday mornings May 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 10am to 1130am via Zoom. Please sign up through your cell group from today onwards!
This coming Thursday evening(8pm) is our monthly combined prayer meeting. It will be held via both physical (in church) and Zoom (online conference). We will provide the link to each pastoral zones on Wednesday. Please prepare your hearts as we come before God in prayer!
Our church will be having a half-day church retreat on Friday, June 17. The theme of the retreat is “It is time”. The location is at Imperial Restaurant @ FourPoints Hotel (Havelock) from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. This is the 1st Church Retreat after 2 years of pandemic. We hope all brothers and sisters can participate as a family.
The fee is as follows:
$15/- for Adults,
$10/- for Seniors (60yrs and up) +
students of all ages +
children (5yrs and up).
You can register through your cell group from today onwards!
Our church's Wednesday elderly bible study group has arranged to go on a DUCKtour on Monday (May 9) from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are still a few seats left, if you are interested, please look for Rev Ng. As stairs climbing is needed, physical mobility is required of all participants.
We have elderly Bible study on this coming Wednesday at 10a.m. Please be on time!
Prayer Pointers
As the epidemic in Singapore has stabilized, our church has gradually resumed various gatherings. Apart from service and pastoral group meetings, we will also start some evangelistic activities and gatherings. Please remember in your prayers that pastors and leaders can arrange evangelistic initiatives for different groups!
Intercession for Congregation :
(1)Rev Peter Koh has returned to Malaysia last Thursday. In addition to handling some Rev Ruth’s matters, he will also return to Kuala Lumpur to visit his mother. Rev Koh will return to Singapore at end of May. Please remember him in your prayers.
(2)Let us continue to keep, Brother Tan Keng Khim, Brother Goh Wee Shin, Sister Sam Kwai Leng and Sister Tan Num Kew in prayer.
