22 March 2020

Shalom brothers and sisters in Christ,

In the light of the severity of this outbreak, the church has a responsibility to our members and society. On Friday 20th of March 2020, the government have offered clearer directives on how organizations including churches should conduct our services during this period and we have the following announcement on further measures our church will be taking in the midterm.

The key is to reduce physical face-to-face meetings and practice social distancing at an organizational level in order to not facilitate the possible spreading of the virus.

As such Sunday services will continue to be streamed online at 930am every Sunday. We will also suspend all fellowship activities until further notice.

We still encourage our members to keep in touch in smaller groups at your own comfort and discretion. Even in small groups, please take note of the following:

  • Try to meet through virtual means (Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp) if possible.

  • Be socially responsible and not meet if you’re feeling unwell.

  • Temperature and attendance taking is a must

  • Practice social distancing, ensuring at least 1m distance between each other

  • No sharing of food

  • Avoid meeting in crowded places

While we’re socially distant, it is important that we remain spiritually united in the face of this virus. As we meet less, I also believe we can do more. Continue to keep in touch, show care and concern for one another through alternative means. Take this time to build your prayer life and dive deep into the word of God. Be a good neighbour and support your local community in this time of need.

Our pastors and leaders will be in touch and please follow their lead. Let them know if you have any worries or questions. We are reviewing the situation constantly and we will update you on our plans as we go along.

Let’s continue to set our eyes on Jesus and prepare for the day we can come together again in worship!

In Christ,
